The Godly Grace Of Ramakrishna

However being born amidst the slush of worldly inclination, it is not easy for one to pullout himself free of it. But the proximity of the master and His empowering influence can draw one carefully out of the lusty worldly slush. The master sometimes goes by the way of the devotees and slowly draw their attention from it.
Once Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had to confront a question put forward by the mother of a disciple called Jadu. The devotee's mother queried as to why the master did not take money from those visiting Him when other Sadhus did so. The Master's reply illustrated His immaculate mind and His intentions at their best in drawing the interest of his devotees to His feet.
A theatrical performance was taking place. A man who was keen about watching it gave up the idea on seeing a collection made from the audience to watch the show. He then came upon another show which was free of cost. He immediately jostled his way through the crowd and found himself a comfortable seat and sat through the performance.
When Sri Ramakrishna narrated the above story, it is explicit that He was Himself the greatest embodiment of His teachings of being free from the influence and impact of money. Secondly though he remained in an exalted state of complete detachment from the pleasures of the world, He was sensitive to the cause of His devotees who still toiled with worldly attachment to money. His very nature of renunciation and exalted spiritual state debarred money from entering His court. This effortless attitude of His strengthened the trust in His devotees, some of whom who led a worldly life, like the man who wanted to watch the performance cost-free. He thus invited them with His Godly Grace along with their attachment with money only slowly to get them free of its gripping clutches, to escort them to the highest state; a state where they dissolve themselves in Him.
The Master's life indeed is the best practical lesson that can lead one to liberation.
