Bhagavan Ramana as customary of Him always turned the aspirants' questions to the conduction of self enquiry, be it a spiritual query or a query shooting out of mundane existence. Numerous instances can be drawn out impregnated with the ultimate spiritual teaching in such scenarios.

Once a devotee was seated amongst the gathered others on the floor in front of Ramana who was reclining on His bed. The power of silence from the Master's presence swept over all those present with its impending nature. A bell then rang out dispersing the crowd for lunch except the devotee.

The devotee wanting to make the best use of the opportunity asked Bhagavan : "Bhagavan please give me some advice now that only I am left " .Prompt came the gentle reply from Bhagavan " Let go of even the 'I' !"

Bhagavan sought to alert the devotees at their slightest diversion from the path.
