Jaya Durga Temple Built By An Oncologist Where Burger And Sandwiches Are Served As Prasad
All these years, at temples, we offered just what God of that temple liked and received the same with a lot of reverence. During those times, Gods wishes ruled ours. What we disposed, god proposed.
But now, attempts are on to introduce our gods of primordial times, a taste of the modern cuisine. As a bargain, we can also get what we love to normally have.

Firstly who does not like fast food? Children to adults, ailing or healthy, would like to consume this on priority. Due to the popularity of fast food, the temple prasads have run out of favour with most devotees.
It is also important to have a devout bent of mind rather than being just ritual oriented. God takes anything that is offered with genuine love and care.
When there is absence of devotion, temple prasad rarely comes. This idea already has taken shape in a Chennai temple for Jaya Durga Devi built by a herbal Oncologist Mr. Sridhar. His temple is a café cum temple which is quite an out of the box combination. Rest of the temples will soon follow suit.
The Jaya Durga Peetham is located in Padappai, Chennai. Here, the devotees get brownies, burgers, noodles, cracker sandwiches, cherry tomato salads and sandwiches as prasad. Hygiene is the mantra here that is applied to all dishes. Certified by FSSAI, the expiry date is also marked.
A Modern Look For The Modern preferences: The temple has incorporated some modern technology to just aid the gastronomical process. . Devotees must slip a token into the vending machine and can immediately collect the prasad boxes that fall into your plate. The serving counter is automated.
Regular devotees never had this better. For those who frequent this place often, the temple authorities record their date of birth and name in their list. When these devotees visit the temple on their birthday cake is given to them as prasad presented innovatively. The same cake is prepared in large numbers and distributed to the other devotees.
The burgers and brownies have done mind blowing business by pushing out the ladoo and puliogare categories to the back seat. Especially the salads that this temple serves has wildly caught on with the elderly population. It is healthy and tasty for their palate.
The fast food being served in the temple is nutritious and prepared in a clean kitchen and served to God with an even cleaner mind. For those elderly devotees who cannot commute comfortably, the birthday prasad is sent to their homes.
