When Is Chaitra Navratri 2024 Ashtami Tithi? Know Confirmed Date
Maha Ashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of Navratri and special worship of Goddess Mahagauri is done. This year, Ashtami Tithi of Chaitra Shukla will start at 12:11 pm on 15 April 2024 and will continue till 01:23 pm the next day on 16th April 2024. In such a situation, Maha Ashtami will be celebrated mainly on 16th April.
When Is Chaitra Navratri 2024 Navami Tithi?
Maha Navami Tithi of Chaitra Shukla Navratri will start at 1:23 pm on 16 April 2024 and will continue till 3:14 pm the next day on 17th April 2024. In such a situation, the holy festival of Mahanavami will be celebrated on 17th April. On this day, Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Durga Bhavani, is worshipped. Along with this, Navratri fast is also broken on this day. Ram Navami is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Maryada Purushottam Ramchandra ji on Mahanavami of Chaitra Navratri.
Significance Of Ashtami and Navami of Chaitra Navratri
Ashtami and Navami Tithi are considered very important in Navratri. On this day, Kanya Puja, Havan and Parana etc. are performed. According to religious beliefs, if someone has not been able to fast and worship for nine days on the holy festival of Navratri, then he will be able to worship Goddess Durga Bhavani by offering worship on Ashtami and Mahanavami.
