Best Gada ( mace) Fighters From The Ancient History
Made of wood or metal, the mace or club that is otherwise known as Gada, looks spherical on the top with a spike on the top. There is a long list of powerful weapons that abound in plenty in hindu historical legends, such as Trishul, Sudarshan Chakra, Brahmastra, etc, Gada 's importance can never be questioned.

Hanuman has a Gada which is always seen in his hands. Other god that wields the mace is Vishnu who holds the Kaumodaki. Bhima, Duryodhana, and so on have their own gadas and were masters in gada warfare. Top five users of Gada in the historical legends are Hanuman, Bhima, Duryodhana, Vishnu and Ganesha.
1. Hanuman Gada
Gada was his only weapon, which he held in his right hand and it symbolizes self-sovereinty, and the power to rule. When his Gada is held in a raised position, it indicates disorder. This Gada was Kuberas gift to Hanuman. Hanuman Gada has a trailblazing history behind it as it never tasted defeat. His Gada was responsible for saving the King of Kashi from Shree Rama's arrows. His gada fighting skills were put to full use during the times of war with Lankan army of Ravana.
2. Kaumodaki Gada
Lord Vishnu holds Kaumodaki in his lower left hand. It stands for the unlimited power of Lord Vishnu. This weapon has the power to stop all impure thoughts and help him reach God. He used this weapons to detach us from the worldy bonds. This is a divine Gada which is symbolic of knowledge. Even Lord Krishna had it. Agni was given the Kaumodaki Mace by Varuna. Kaumodaki is not treated as an inanimate object but regarded respectfully as Gadadevi or Gadanari in Scriptures.
3. Lord Ganesha's Gada
ALthought Lord Ganesha's main weapon is his axe, he is also known to wield Gada. In some avatars, he has used gada and hence acquired the name of Gadadhara, who destroyed the wiliest of demons with ease using his Gada. Ganesha prevents the hindrances in any ongoing task that we start and his elephant head represents supreme power that ensures success in all endeavours undertaken in his remembrance. His gada chases away our past sins by improving our skills to fight our problems capably in life.
4. Duryodhan Gada
Duryodhana was a little better than Bhim in the art of Gada fighting. He had both strength and skills to match when it came to his mace. Throughout his life, he focused on learning only one skill perfectly and that was gada yuddha. He was immensely loved by Balaram. On the last day of the Kurukshetra war, a violent gada yuddha had started between Bhim and Duryodhana. Bheem won the battle using tricks that Lord Krishna taught him. This might have been a hair raising event for that yuga.
5. Bhima Gada
Bhima was the disciple of Balarama who was known to be an expert Gada yudhdha expert. He is known to have broken a good number of gadas during his fights with his wicked opponents. Such was his valour. With just one blow, he killed each Kaurava. There are countless demons which he had killed using this weapon.
