Can You Smell Love?
The smell of love is not a new romantic song on the charts. It is our most basic instinct to recognise people with their smell. After all, a human being is a social animal. Animals use their sense of smell to sniff out a mate so why can't we humans. The greatest minds of the world have answered this question long back. Yes, love comes from smelling your partner and you may not even be aware of it.
Speaking About The Smell Of Love:
Darwin: Charles Darwin, the pioneer of genetics, was one of the first people to talk about human phermones (hormones responsible for smell or odour) that impact human relationships. He had noted that bulls and apes flare their nostrils when they are sexually aroused.

Osho: The next in line was our Indian spiritual guru Osho. He said that couples can check their compatibility by smelling each other. But we don't use our sense of smell to the fullest extent because of societal propriety.
Incest Marker: Smelling is also a great way to eliminate incest from society. Usually people who share close family ties like father and daughter, brother and sister have similar human phermones. So they are not sexually attracted to each other's smell. When we had no society or culture that prohibited incest, smelling was a way of natural selection.
Remember The Smell: Most people think that a smell is almost impossible to remember. Smells are abstract and cannot be quantified. But this is a myth. Can you forget the smell of the musk dear or the smell of freshly wet earth after the first rain? You may not be able to define it but some smells are part of our consciousness. Similarly, you not be able to describe the smell of your partner but when you are exposed to it, you instantly recognise it.
Social Norms: It is not like our social norms do not allow us to smell out love. A handshake is the best way to allow your sweat glands to interact. A kiss is less about tasting and more about smelling love. You need not smell like a dog to find love. You just need to be sharp.
Smell Of Compatibility: It has been seen after careful research that two people who love each other's smell make a compatible couple. Not only does physical attraction come from love but the deep rooted emotion of 'love' itself stems from smell.
So, do you love to smell your partner? If not, then its time to move on.
