A common myth among men is that they are the only successful gender and women cannot and should not be over them. It is so because men have been dominating the society since ages. The practice of patriarchal families has degraded the strength and capabilities of a woman.

But things have changed gradually due to the introduction and adoption of westernization. Women have started working and are also accepted in the society. But can a husband be happy with a wife who is more successful? This is the main question.

Few women find it difficult to survive their married life if they are more successful in career. Regular fights with spouse, inferiority complex, arrogance and abuse are seen in such houses which is not acceptable to the women too. After a long day"s work she comes home tired, and her husband, instead of being her support abuses her and blames her character for her success?

A successful wife should be honored just the same as that of a man. There are cases where couples have problems if the wife is earning more than her husband. There are only a few incidents where a husband is comfortable when his wife is more successful than him. Even if the man doesn"t think about the wife"s success negatively, society is somewhere responsible for bringing the complexity in the mind of him.

Blaming the capabilities of the man discourages his confidence thus leading to regular tiffs with his wife and a divorce ultimately. If the hubby is not having any problem with the success of his wife then the other members of the family provoke the negativity in the man.

The tradition of men working and wives as housewives has changed in terms of profession but not in mentality. Still the non-acceptance of a more successful wife is a social problem which will take years to change the mindset of men.

It all depends on the understanding of the couple. The husband should never take his wife"s success on his ego otherwise however much the wife tries, her spouse will never get it out of his head. This ideology id is so omnipresent that even the wife knows the consequences of high low graph in career. Thus, many women choose partners according to their position so as to maintain the level and keep the relationship in hands of each other with love, understanding and no ego from either of them.
