Unplanned Pregnancy Pleases More Men Than Women
An unplanned pregnancy could bring varied emotions in the couple. Although women might get little tense about it, men are more pleased than them with the news of an unplanned pregnancy, a study shows.
The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy surveyed thousands of young men and women, aged 18-29, about their thoughts on unplanned pregnancy.

Nearly half of the men under 30 confessed that they would love to hear the news of an unplanned pregnancy. However, lesser women said they would be 'pleased' with this news.
The researchers phrased the questions as: If you found out today that you were or your partner was pregnant, how would you feel:
A) very upset
B) a little upset
C) a little pleased
D) very pleased
E) wouldn't care
Only 20 percent of women responded that they would be "a little pleased" or "very pleased" with the news of an unplanned pregnancy. However, a whopping 43 percent of young men chose this answer.
Among the 18-19 age group, 34 per cent of men said they'd be pleased with the news of an unplanned pregnancy. The number reached to 42 percent for 20-24 age group, and more than 50 per cent for guys aged 25-29.
Only 16 per cent of women aged 18-24 would be pleased by a surprise pregnancy, the survey reported. The percentage soars to 29 for women in the age group of 25-29.
