When it comes to love the preferences may vary from person to person. However it seems that there is a gender conception when it comes to choose the partner. Do you want to know what a man or a woman actually wants in a partner?

What he wants...

In the 1930s the men were seeking women with high chastity. They had expected that their wives" intelligence should be confined to the skills in the chastity,housekeeper,kitchen. They wanted a kind and dependent woman as their wife.

However men in the 21st century has a forward thinking than their ancestors. They are increasingly interested in any educated woman who is a good financial prospect. Present day men find mutual attraction and love as the essential characteristic to start a life with their ladylove. They also expect their partner to have a dependable character and emotional stability.

Men of the present day also expect their partner to be highly educated and career oriented. Since there is a vast opportunity for education and career for women on these days, men expect to share their financial burdens with their partner. Even though they expect these modern trends men also wishes their partner to be good looking, a good cook and a housekeeper.

Men on the present day give least importance to the chastity in their partner. They also do not need their partner to hail from the same political, religious or social background.

Unlike men, women in the 1930s and the present day women think alike. Their first preference in the guy is his emotional stability, dependable character and mutual love or attraction. While education and career remain as a main attraction for Mr. Perfect, 21st century women also express the desire for a man who really needs a family.

Many women in the present day don"t prefer a man who don"t desire for children. They also wish their men to have good looks and a refined character.
