Phalsa Sharbat Recipe: How To Prepare Phalsa Cooler At Home
Phalsa sharbat is a refreshing and healthy drink that is prepared to to beat the heat during summers. Here is a detailed step-by-step procedure.
Resembling black currents, phalsas are also small berries that are enjoyed and consumed by a very small portion of the Indian household. Available only in the summer months, phalsa is one of the very refreshing and healthy fruits that surely needs a lot of advertisement as compared to the other berries.
They are basically found in North India and there are variety of dishes that can be made from this fruit. Apart from having it as it is, it can be used to make phalsa sharbat or phalsa summer buzz, which is very healthy during summers. It's very refreshing and keeps you away from the warm heat of summers.

Deseeded phalsa pulp - 1 cup
Blueberry (frozen) - ½ cup
Sugar syrup - 4-5 tbsp (sweetness depends on individuals and preference)
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Pink salt to taste
Crushed ice

1. Wash the phalsa fruit thoroughly and soak it in some water with pink salt for approximately 4-5 hours.
2. Now, in another bowl, mash the soaked phalsa.
3. Once mashed, strain the mashed material and make a pulp out of it.
4. In a jug, mix this prepared pulp, sugar syrup, lemon juice, pink salt and crushed ice.
5. Take a tall glass and cover its brim with pink salt.
6. Serve the prepared concoction in the glass and serve cold.
