Getting toddlers to eat proper meals is not an easy task. You might have to resort to various tricks and techniques to get them to at least try a snack. But there's no guarantee that they will eat it.
Many parents find themselves at a loss when confronted with the task of feeding their toddler. Toddlers are at an age when everything is new to them. They are always exploring one thing or another. In the same manner, they like to explore new types of food. Variety is a key factor when you are trying to get your busy toddler to eat.

Another important thing is that instead of trying to force them to the three meals a day rule, let them enjoy a variety of healthy toddler snacks in between. This will help to keep up their energy levels till the next meal. Kids often prefer colourful and tasty foods.

Simple rolls
One of the best healthy foods for toddlers is chapathi (Indian bread). Fill it up with some fruit, yoghurt mix, a little bit of chicken or vegetables and roll it up for your kid, so that they can eat this on the run.

Fruit pretzel
Stock up on pretzel sticks to make healthy food for toddlers. Cut up sweet tasting fruits in interesting shapes and hand out a healthy colourful and tasty pretzel to your enthusiastic toddler.

Muffin time
Why give store bought muffins when you can bake some at home? To make it a healthy food for toddlers, mix the dough in milk instead of water and add a variety of fruits to make it more nutritious.

Averse to milk?
There are many toddlers averse to milk, but only when given in a glass. You can try tempting them with hot chocolate made with milk or try any of their favourite flavours.

Sandwich
Never underestimate the power of fillings when making toddler snacks. Toast some bread and spread a little cheese on it. Fill it up as a sandwich with some chicken or fish with a fresh slice of tomato.

Have some cooked pasta at hand in your child's favourite shape. When it is time for toddler snacks, mix this pasta with some vegetables and chicken and add some chunky sauce as well.

Fruit smoothie
This is another among toddler snacks that is very welcome during the summer months. Add some fruits to a glass of milk and give it a whirl in your blender and hand out to your kid for a nice cool drink.

Milk and cookies
This is a classic among toddler snacks with a healthy twist by baking your own using oatmeal with some fruits like strawberry or grapes placed on top for flavour.
