When it comes to your child's safety, daycare centres are obviously more secure. At home, your child will be alone with the nanny. You can put cctv cameras but they are viable only to a certain extent.
Costs
Nannies usually come cheaper than daycare centres especially if you have more than one child. Good and reputed daycare centre usually cost a bomb.
Professional Care
Daycare centre have professionally trained personnel to take care of your child while you are at work. You may be able to get a trained and experienced nanny too. But you need to hire the right nanny.

Your child always learns more when he or she is with other kids. That is why, daycares are better from the point of view of overall development. Your child gets to interact with other kids and learn more in the process.
