These Street Foods Are Not For Pregnant Women

Street Foods That Need To Be Strictly Avoided During Pregnancy (what not to eat) -
1. Most Common Ones – Avoid caffiene, alcohol, trans fat, artificially coloured food items, additives, perforated drinks, junk food and fried foods.
2. Dairy Products To Be Avoided By Pregnant Women – Unpasteurized milk (milkshakes), ripened cheese (burgers, cakes), ice creams especially the softees that come directly from the whipping machines.
3. Meat – Ground meat mixed with fat (pate), partially cooked eggs (egg curries that serve in local restaurants), liver products, mayonnaise (burgers), canned meat, fish varieties like tuna, swordfish and marlin is a strict no no.
4. Vegetables and fruits – During pregnancy, it is best to avoid food stuffs such as cut fruits and vegetables available on streets, even packaged beans and pulses cannot be had directly without washing. Sealed vegetable salads available in restaurants, pickles, better if not preferred.
Ghee is best to have as it a highly purified fat. Olive oil, green leafy vegetables, berries, whole grain, nuts and fiber rich vegetables are the best pregnancy foods.
