Bleeding during pregnancy can also signal a molar pregnancy (abnormalities in the fertilised egg at conception) or haemorrage. The bleeding during pregnancy can also symbolize vaginal or cervical infection which generally occur after the intercourse.
Placenta abruption (placenta seperates from the uterus and leads to painful and heavy bleeding followed by clots), uterus rupture (pain in the uterus) and intercourse during pregnnacy can also lead to spotting or bleeding during gestation.
Consult your doctor:
- if you bleed during gestation and get fever of over 110.5 F.
- if you have severe bleeding or menstrual cramps and contradictions
- if you feel dizzy or faint
- if the bleeding pain during pregnancy is more severe than the normal period.
- if you have pain in the abdomen, pelvis or back
- if the flow is light or heavy then it is normal but if the bleeding during gestation is followed by clots or tissues.
- if you have undergone an abortion and develop fever following to it. Also abdominal or pelvic pain and increased bleeding during pregnnacy should be considered.
- if you are given medical treatment for ectopic pregnancy and you face severe abdominal or pelvic pain within a week after taking the injection.
Inform your doctor about the number of sanitary napkins used during the gestation bleeding.
