8 Things To Have In Your Nursing Nest
Bringing up a baby is just like nestling an egg. You give your baby your warm and affection just like a bird hatches its egg. That is why; the 'nesting' instinct is common between humans and birds. All mothers build nests for their young ones. Metaphors and philosophies apart, a nursing nest is a private cove in your home where you can nurse your newborn baby conveniently. You need to have certain things like tissues and breastfeeding pillows in your nursing nest.
Every mother builds her own nursing nest within the house. This is very helpful for babies as well because they like the familiarity of nursing at the same place every day. Your are going to breastfeed your baby exclusively for 6 months, then you need to have your nursing space organised. This is very helpful because nursing your baby after every 2 hours during the day is a task and you have to get organised if you intend to accomplish the task perfectly.
There are some things that will help you build a perfect nursing nest for yourself. These things increase your convenience while your baby suckles at your breast. You will have keep everything handy while you feed your baby. These are the must haves to make your nursing nest effective.

Nursing Chair or Couch
You need a proper place to sit if you want to escape backache. You can either buy a reclining nursing chair or chose an appropriate couch.

Breastfeeding Pillow
Use a support pillow for breastfeeding in your nursing nest. This will give your loads of help especially if you have had a c-section.

Footrest
If you baby suckles for a long time, then you need to either keep your feet up or keep them on a footrest. This saves you from ending up with an aching back.

Your Phone At Arms Reach
Keep your phone within your reach but keep it on silent. If your baby dozes off to sleep while nursing, you don't really want to startle him or her.

Books or Magazines
Sometimes, holding on your baby as it suckles can be a very boring job. You can actually read books or browse through magazines if you start feeling bored.

Laptop or Tablet
You might be able to work on your laptop or reply to emails while your breastfeed your newborn. All you need is some first hand practice to become a savvy mother.

Wet Wipes & Diapers
Your baby might bring up milk while burping and make a mess otherwise. Keep wet wipes handy. Also have some diapers in case your baby poops.

A Warm Wrap For The Baby
Newborn babies like to be cuddled and kept warm while nursing. So have a warm wrap for your baby so that he or she can be nestled comfortably.
