Getting your child ready for school in the morning, packing their lunches, making sure that they haven't forgotten their books at home - all these can be quite tiring for parents!

As we all realise, parenting is not an easy job, especially as the kids start to grow up and start their studies, the parents will start to have more responsibilities.
As parents we would want our children to do well in school and have a great education, so that their future can be shaped in a better way and also to enable them to live a quality life.
So, we do everything we can to help our children perform well in studies.
Now, homework is an inevitable part of school life, where the children are supposed to learn more at home, as asked by their teachers.
In most families, parents tend to help their children with their homework.
Learn how homework can affect your family's health, here.
1. Weight Gain

A recent research study has found that homework can cause weight gain in both the parents and the children. These days, as the amount of homework given by most schools have increases, the children have to spend hours after school, doing it, and may a times parents help. This habit leaves them hardly any time for sports or other physical activities, causing weight gain.
2. Depression

Homework is also linked to causing depression and stress in both the parents and the kids. Many a times, parents tend to pressurise the kids to excel and so, they would want the kids to do their homework perfectly, which may stress out the kid and cause depression.
