Do Sugary Drinks Affect Pregnant Moms?
A new study reveals that consumption of sugary drinks during pregnancy may lead to obese babies. The risks are especially high when pregnant mothers consume beverages that contain artificial sweeteners.

Such drinks could increase the BMI of the baby. Also, the baby may become obese at a young age, say experts.
This study confirms that beverages containing artificial sweeteners may not be healthy for pregnant mothers and the foetus. They may cause childhood obesity.

After studying more than 3000 mothers along with their babies, researchers concluded this fact. The mothers who participated in the study had a habit of drinking sugary drinks that contain artificial sweeteners.

So such drinks could affect the BMI of the baby when a mother consumes them during pregnancy. Today, some people have the habit of drinking such beverages on a daily basis and this worried the health experts.

Today, obesity and childhood obesity have become epidemics everywhere in the world and this is one reason why we may need to reconsider our food choices.

And when it comes to pregnant women, one may need to remember that every food or drink that is consumed affects the baby inside.
