Superfoods For A Healthy Baby
It is much easier to feed your baby when he or she is breastfed. You are completely sure that what you are feeding your baby is the best food for him. But after 6 months, you have to introduce your baby to solid foods. Don't depend on formula foods completely. Try to introduce some of these superfoods in your little one's diet. After all, you cannot feed your baby ready-made food all their life. That is why, Boldsky gives you a list of the best foods for babies.
When you start solid foods for your baby, keep these superfoods for babies on your mind. Some of these should be the first solids that your baby tastes. Apple, for example, is a very common food given to babies for the first time. You should also try giving your baby cereals like ragi and quinoa. Oats is just like a formula food; but it is a lot healthier because it contains no preservatives.
You baby will benefit from having these superfoods because they are natural. Unlike formula food, the best foods for babies contain the goodness of nature. Get your baby into the habit of eating fresh food. Formula feeds might be convenient but they are not the best option for your baby.

Ragi
This cereal is fibrous, non-starchy and healthy way to have carbohydrates. Your baby will get lots of iron and fibre from ragi balls to make his or her bowel movements smooth.

Coconut
Did you know that coconut contains medium chain fatty acids that are very similar in structure to human breast milk? Your baby will find it easy to digest coconut and it will be a boost to his or her immune system.

Oats
Oats are easy to eat for babies as they do not have teeth. Besides, oats can be filling for the baby and give your little one a good dose of iron and selenium.

Green Leafy Vegetables
Start feeding your little one with green vegetables from an early age. Pureed spinach, boiled kale and cooked lettuce will give your baby loads of calcium and iron. It will also provide substantial dietary fibres to make your baby poop easily.

Eggs
Eggs can be given to your baby at about 8 or 9 months of age. You can give your baby soft boiled eggs as they have complete nutrition in them. Always prefer organic eggs over the manufactured ones.

Quinoa
This is the only cereal that will give your baby lots of proteins along with carbohydrates. You can give your baby quinoa as a protein replacement if you want to raise him/her as a vegetarian.

Sweet Potatoes
It is a common practice to give babies mashed potatoes because they are easy to feed and also delicious. However, sweet potatoes are much healthier and have higher nutrient value. The natural sweet taste of potatoes will make it your baby's favourite food.

Banana
Mashed bananas are easy to feed your baby. You baby will gain loads of fibre, energy and iron from eating bananas.

Beans
Beans have fibre, energy as well as Vitamin B complex in them. Beans can be boiled and pureed to feed your baby easily.

Carrots
You can give your baby boiled carrots mixed with potatoes and rice to add some healthy Vitamin A and antioxidants to the little one's diet.

Apple
An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Give your baby a burst of iron and fibre by feeding him/her softened or grated apple.
