The hospitals and even the smaller clinics are flooded with patients with these infections.
Despite several steps taken up by the authorities to control the diseases, Mewat one of the districts of Haryana alone have reported 1,138 confirmed cases from January 2017 till July 31, 2017.
Malaria is caused by the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito. Through this bite the parasite enters your bloodstream and affects the blood cells.

The symptoms tends to develop after about 10 days. High fever, chills, headache, nausea, sweating, muscle pain, diarrhea and abdomen pain are few of the major symptoms that one might get in case of malaria.
As it is said that prevention is better than cure, so even in case of malaria, one needs to take up certain precautionary measures to keep off from this deadly infection called malaria.
Check out these few quick steps to prevent malaria.
1. Wearing Light Colour Clothes:
Dark coloured clothes attracts mosquitoes. It is preferable to wear light coloured clothes and these helps in repelling mosquitoes. Also make it a point to wear full sleeve clothes in order to prevent mosquito bites.
2. Using Mosquito Nets:
Since mosquitoes are the major carriers for malaria, it is essentail to prevent mosquito bites. Using mosquito nets when you sleep in the night is a must in order to prevent the disease.
3. Limiting Outdoor Activities:
Mosquitoes are more active during the dawn and the dusk. So it is better to limit the outdoor activities especially during the dawn and the dusk in order to prevent the mosquito bites.
4. Cinnamon:
Also if you have already been infected with malaria then cinnamon powder helps in lowering the temperature. You need to add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder with a bit of pepper powder and honey in a glass of water and then drink it.
5. Tulsi:
Tulsi is yet another of the best herb that helps in reducing the symptoms of malaria. Take few tulsi leaf extracts, mix it along with a bit of black pepper powder and then consume it. This provides quick relief from malaria.
