Study Reveals The Best Ways To Keep Your Heart & Brain Healthy; Must Have Heart Healthy Foods
American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association reveals ways to have a healthy heart and brain.
Regular exercise, healthy diet and following a good lifestyle not just helps in keeping your heart healthy but this also helps to improve the functioning of your brain function and reduce risk of dementia as well.
This has been revealed by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
As per the journal 'Stroke' published by the organizations, the heart and the brain requires a steady blood flow, when the blood flow gets disturbed it increases the risk of heart attack and affects the brain functioning as well.

Avoiding smoking and alcohol abuse are the two major steps to keep your heart and brain healthy.
According to the researchers many people are not aware of the fact that the basic factors that helps prevent heart attack and stroke can also help prevent dementia.
Meanwhile, the researchers further suggested that high blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar could damage blood vessels, that could trigger complications which in turn reduces the blood flow to the brain.

The study suggests aerobic exercises, mediterranean diet and keeping a healthy weight to maintain the blood pressure and cholesterol which in turn helps in keeping the heart and brain healthy.

Nuts:
Rich in fibre and good fats, consuming a handful of nuts like walnuts and almonds helps to keep the heart healthy.

Fruits:
Fruits like orange and papaya are rich in beta-carotene, potassium, magnesium and fiber. Consuming these fruits helps to keep the heart healthy.

Green Vegetables:
Green vegetables like spinach, broccoli and asparagus are rich in beta-carotene, folate and fiber. Consuming green vegetables on a daily basis helps to keep your heart healthy.

Flax Seeds:
Flax seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and phytoestogens that helps to keep your heart healthy. You can consume it in form of seeds or in powder form as well.

Whole Grains:
Whole grains are gluten free and rich in fibre content. Adding whole grains in your daily diet helps in keeping the heart healthy and at the same time helps maintain a regular blood flow.
