Manish Malhotra's Summer Collection: Sneak Peak

The show opened with six bare chest male models who were draped in Kashmiri shawls and white chikan kurtas. The rustic background of ethnic motifs and hanging ornate lamps created the mood.
Colors like navy blue, rust, grey, burnt oranges and brick red were widely used which best describes the summer season colors. Manish Malhotra Summer collection for menswear showed rich textures like jute and tussar silk, kurtas with bandhgala jackets and sherwanis with old world pants and salwars or Jodhpuri trousers were major attraction in the fashion show.
Manish Malhotra's collection had Lucknowi embroidery, Kashmiri embroidery, Rajasthani embroidery, butti and gotta borders in both men and women wear which gave the ethnic wear look. His attempt to get back the Kashmiri embroidery is expected to hit the market very soon.
Summer shades like aqua, powder blue and green were used for women's wear. 20 women's creations were grand as volumnious lehengas and kalidar kurtas in net with silver zari work sparkled the catwalk. Floor length kurtas teamed with flared lehengas were eye-catchy. 3D rose embroidery, deep back necks, with high collars of badla and chikan work dazzled the viewing audience.
40 evening wear for both men and women were wonderfully presented in the fashion show. The dresses were given chikankari work and Manish tried to revive the Kashmiri embroidery. His Indian touch to his collection was also visible with Rajasthani gotta borders on swirling creations for myriad occasions.
Manish Malhotra is known as the King of dressing in the Bollywood industry for his unique designs. His South-Asian fashion designs made his Summer collection show a big hit at the Lakme Fashion Week. Manish Malhotra in his Summer Collection has smartly mixed chiffon with velvet and gaudy tassels. The show stopper wearing a multiple fabric layered lehenga with a tiny choli and silver embellished duppata beautifully ended the show.
