If you are an Indian teenager or a young adult staying with your parents, you will know exactly the crazy things only Indian parents will say. We are not saying that Indian parents are insane trying to put something across to their kids, but what makes it weird is the way they do it.
Some of the things only Indian parents will say are just outrageous, ridiculous and they are often used because they have been passed down like a legacy from one generation to another.

For unmarried girls - "Learn to cook or else your husband will leave you." This is one of the things that only Indian parents will say to their young girls.
Education - "You should have scored 98 percent! You have lost focus in your studies!" Haven't you heard this from your folks after your results were out?
Party Time - "Where are you going? What time will you be home? With whom you are going?" This is one of the things which only Indian parents will ask their young daughters.
On Wealth - "Child, we may have not made a lot of money but we have earned a lot of respect in the society which money cannot provide," a typical Indian parent will say this.
Parenting Issues - "Only when you become a parent, you will understand the situation I am in." Haven't you heard this from an Indian parent way too many times?
Marriage - "If you are not good in the kitchen and your rotis are not perfectly round, no one will marry you!"
Staying in Luxury - One of the most common things only Indian parents say to their kids is - "If you are like a paying guest in the house, you might as well pay me the rent!"
On Life - "To make it to the top, you need to study well, get a job, stand on your legs and then only you will enjoy what life has to offer."
