Pop Singer Lady Gaga was the first person in Twitter history to amass a fan following of 20 million Twitter followers. She currently has a whopping 39.2 million followers on Twitter. Lady Gaga apparently gains on an average 40,000 Twitter followers per day. And contrary to the behaviour of most famous celebrities on Twitter, she follows a large number of people herself. She attained world's fourth most popular Twitter celebrity, Shakira has a fan following of around 14 million in 2010, but has now dropped to sixth place.
