Watch your thoughts
The first thing to do to control negative attitude is to watch your thoughts. Take control of your thoughts. Watch them from a distance and understand what troubles you. Sometimes you may get carried away by your thoughts, but still it is essential that you watch it. If you find the negative thoughts getting into your mind, then better stop it. This is the first step to take.

Practice writing
Once you have identified your negative attitude towards things, the next step is to control it. One of the best ways to do that is to practice writing. Write down all the thoughts that cross your mind. Pen down your emotions truthfully and later analyze your thoughts.

Keep yourself busy
One of the ways to watch your negative attitude is to keep yourself busy. Don't stay idle, as the saying goes, "an idle mind is a devil's workshop". So always engage yourself in some activity or the other. Work till you become tired and sleep well after a tiring day!

Find a hobby that interests you
If you don't have any work and if you are free, then find a hobby for your free time. Try painting, gardening, knitting a sweater or even trying new recipes may work.

Take a long walk in the evenings along with your friend or spouse or someone with a positive attitude. Discuss with them what troubles you. Never stay alone. If you have that negative attitude, then one best way is to try out something new. Try things which have been in your mind for quite a long time. Try learning music or dance, get excited about it and boost your energy.

Here is one way to control your negative attitude. Practice the art of thankfulness. Whenever a negative thought crosses your mind. Take a piece of paper and start writing the best things that has happened to you in your life. Feel grateful! Read it once, twice or thrice! Weed away those negative thoughts; think life is fair and good.

Try finding happiness
Find out what gives you happiness!! sometimes it may be a silly thing. Watching a cat can make you happy or sometimes a bowl of icecream. find which one is it and try doing that!
