Laptop uses only 10% of energy of the desktop as laptops are portable and run in battery which requires only 45 watts of current where as desktop needs at least 240 watts to current to work . Laptop consumes a lesser space in table and virtually makes no noise.

4. Reduction, Reuse and Recycle: This mantra is very important to maintain a Eco friendly office. Recycling of papers here is very important because it reduces the production cost by 20% which will also help in reducing the cost of papers. And office makes the highest usage of papers.

5.Wise use of printers and fax machines: Use of ink jet printers and fax machines reduces the cost of print and electricity. They have low standby energy and use about 10% of the energy used by laser fax machines and printers.
