Mother's Day is celebrated all over the world since 1914. The then US President, Woodrow Wilson declared May 9th as an official day to pay tribute to mothers. Following this, several other countries also adopted the celebration.
Earlier, this day was celebrated by paying a visit to holy places and presenting mothers with gifts and cards. Flowers were a major way of expressing one's gratitude towards his/her mother.
The affection and love of mother is priceless and unmatched. All a mother wants is a smile on her child's face and on this day it is our responsibility to fulfill all her wishes, wipe her tears and make her feel proud.
