Melange: An Expression Of Contemporary Art
Melange, a show based on contemporary art hosted by Maya, is gaining the applause of the aestheticians since its first day on 7th June 2008. The show comprises the painting works of five emerging artists-Mallikarjun S Katke, Narasimha Kumbar, Santosh V Andani, Santosh Rathod and Uday D Jain. The aspirants can witness the wonders on canvas till 22nd June 2008.
Prominent artists Mr. K T Shivaprasad and Mr. M B Patil inaugurated Melange. The exhibition unveils a collection of paintings from the contemporary artists with a theme of conflict between the desire of the heart and the dictates of the mind. Each artist in his own right can claim to have been swayed by these emotions in creating these paintings.
The compilation bestows a vast blend of emotions with lust as the overpowering emotion. Combining style, vermisilitude and harmony, these works of the artists lay emphasis on the vibrant colours or textures to bring out raw emotion. The works are acrylic on canvas and each one explodes with passion, diversity and excitement.
