King Someshwar Who Ruled The Place...
Legends have claimed that Kiradu was originally known as Kiradkot. It was ruled by the Kirad clan of Rajputs. The inhabitants of this village were said to be true devotees of Lord Shiva, which explains why some of these temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The Wrath
When the King had been away for a war, he realised people back in his place were being careless and they did not wish to help anyone. The enraged king cursed the entire Kingdom saying, "A place which has no humanity, must not be burdened with humankind!" This lead the kingdom to get doomed.

The curse on Rajasthan's Kiradu Temple is a spell that is so powerful that it can turn humans into a stone, and anyone who dares to step in the premises or stay overnight is said to turn into a stone. The king apparently cursed the entire Kingdom to turn into a stone, except the potter's wife, who he spared because of her service to his ailing disciple.

Where Is It Located?
This temple is located in the Thar Desert, and this temple is also called the unexplored Khajuraho of Rajasthan. Apparently, the Kiradu, an accumulation of five temples, which have now been deserted, are dated back to the 11th century.

The Artwork In The Temple
These temples are said to have titivated with erotic architecture that is built in typical Solanki style. This in return has turned this place into a new-found tourist spot. Even though the place attracts several tourists, nobody dares to stay back at this place.

The Deserted Land
The deserted temples are said to have an unnatural atmosphere. The giant rusted gate is forever locked and anyone who wishes to enter has to manage through a tiny gate beside the wall. The entire place has a queer feeling that can make you feel something is wrong.
Even though it's years now that this event has happened, people still do not dare to stay back and experiment.
