Day 3 IIJW 2013: Juhi Chawla Displays Mangalsutra
Day 3 of IIJW 2013 saw the advent of many celebrities on the ramp. India International Jewellery Week 2013 has been full of celebrity showstoppers. Day 2 of IIJW 2013 was a little low on the celebrity presence. But on Day 3 of IIJW 2013, many leading ladies took to the ramp again. After Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sushmita Sen, it was time for veteran Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla to take centre stage.
Juhi Chawla walked on the ramp of India International Jewellery Week 2013 for the brand Shringar: House of Mangalsutra. The collection presented by Shringar: House Of Mangalsutra presented a series of mangalsutra designs. Theme of the collection was very clear, mangalsutras. As we all know, the mangalsutra is a special piece of jewellery that most Indian women wear. It is a sign of marriage among many Hindu communities.

There are many different types of mangalsutras that are worn by women all over India. Legendary Bollywood beauty, Juhi Chawla lit up the stage on Day 3 of IIJW 2013 by concluding the Shringar: House of Mangalsutra collection.
Juhi Chawla wore a pinkish orange lehenga choli on the ramp. The lehenga had golden polka dots and stripes on it. The choli was long and adorned in gold embroidery. The drape of the outfit was bright sunflower yellow with royal blue zardosi borders. The main aspect of the look was the mangalsutra that Juhi Chawla was wearing.
Juhi wore two mangalsutras. The first was a very long and huge rendition of the traditional mangalsutra. It had a massive gold locket in the inverted pyramid style which is very popular in India. The second mangalsutra was slightly smaller and sleeker. It has a rounded gold pendant and slimmer black beads. For all practical purposes, you can wear these mangalsutras as necklaces. As this was the last collection to be showcased on Day 3 of IIJW 2013, it was a rather glamorous end to the day.
