Who says that the famous magazine Playboy only picks up women who show-off their skin and loves to be bold. The American men's magazine covers nude pictures of famous celebrities. Already Kim Kardashian, Marlyn Monroe and Sherlyn Chopra are few famous celebrities who have appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine.

Well, let me tell you that these women were lucky enough to land on the cover page of this famous men's magazine, Playboy. Marlyn Monroe was on the cover page of the first issue of Playboy in 1953. Since then the magazine has never seen back. Hugh Hefner, commonly known as Hef founded in Chicago. He is the founder and chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises.

Playboy magazine is best represented with its logo, a rabbit. Hef explained to an Italian journalist, that women are like the soft and cute rabbit. He said, "the rabbit, the bunny, in America has a sexual meaning, and I chose it because it's a fresh animal, shy, vivacious, jumping and sexy. First it smells you then it escapes, then it comes back, and you feel like caressing it, playing with it. A girl resembles a bunny. Joyful, joking. Consider the girl we made popular: the Playmate of the Month. She is never sophisticated, a girl you cannot really have. She is a young, healthy, simple girl- a girl next door. We are not interested in the mysterious, difficult woman, the femme fatale, who wears elegant underwear, with lace, and she is sad, and somehow mentally filthy. The Playboy girl has no lace, no underwear, she is naked, well-washed with soap and water, and she is happy."

While many hottest celebrities like Marlyn Monroe, Drew Barrymore, Denise Richards, Amanda Beard, Lindsay Lohan, Vanity, Lazza Jagger and many more have appeared on the cover of the much popular Playboy, there are few unlucky celebrities who got rejected by this magazine instead of being hot. Britney Spears

The pop diva and the bit** was rejected by Playboy in 2007 when the singer was going through a meltdown. However, Hef said that time that he would love to feature her once she recovers. But, unfortunately we didn't see her on the cover yet!

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly reportedly said, "I'd go fully nude, but I'd have to have some airbrushing on my t---,". Hef didn't consider her a Playboy material. The Bunny king responded back, "I can't see it happening somehow- we don't airbrush to that extent."

Courtney Stodden

Courtney has got a new boobs job recently. Even after being really hot, the former porn star tweeted, "No to porn... yes to Playboy ;) xxx." According to sources, the teen bride was rejected as she didn't meet the standards of a Playboy model.

Audriana Patridge

We don't know why Audriana did a nude photoshoot and showed-off her breasts in a topless photoshoot. Was it sent to Playboy?

Michaele Salahi

After posing nude, the magazine dropped the plan to print her pics. The magazine mailed, "There is no opportunity this calendar year to offer you a cover opportunity or place for your pictorial." Although, the pics were posted on the magazine site.

Shirley Jones

Few years back, the 79-year-old Shirley wanted to be on the Playboy cover. She even showed-off little skin, but Hef wanted more. Shirley was reluctant so the magazine rejected this celebrity.

Pia Rizza

After realising that someone was trying to spread her naked pics, Pia released the pics herself. According to sources, these nude pics were sent to Playboy and got rejected.
