22 Year Old Buys Most Expensive Home In New York!
Most Expensive Compared To :
The last outstanding record of the most expensive home sold in a property deal property deal happened in 2006. It was the Harkness Mansion in Manhattan bought by J. Christopher Flowers for $ 56 million. So how did the 22 year old college student manage to pull this one off? Not without a solid family history..
Who Is Ekaterina Rybolovleva, The Owner?
She is the elder daughter of Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev who has made a fortune in post communist Russia out of selling fertilisers. He is listed as the 93rd richest man in the world by Forbes. Having said that it would be better to make it clear that this apartment in Central Park, New York was brought by the 22 year old herself, as in the deal is in her name. This has in a way saved her father some asst cost because her parents are right now pitched in a bitter divorce settlement battle that will end their 23 years of marriage. She is studying at an university in US the name of which is not privy to the media and will spend her days in New York in this super luxurious apartment.
How Does The Most Expensive Home In The World Look?
It is bang in the middle of Central Park in an ornate looking building; not exactly new you can say. There are ten deluxe rooms with a uniform wrap around balcony that borders all the rooms to do some sight seeing in the city without having to go out. Architecturally it is unique because of it's high ceilings and huge doors and windows, not exactly the modern style of architecture.
Who Lived Here Before?
The most expensive apartment in New York held its title even when it was brought by the Weills. Sandy Weill was the CEO of Citigroup who lived in this house with his wide Joan. They too had brought this most expensive home at a record $ 42.4 million.
So much for being the Russian billionaire's daughter; but we hope Ekaterina Rybolovleva enjoys living in her most expensive home in New York as much as she enjoys horse ridding (her passion).
