Sreeram, Wins Indian Idol Season Five
Indian Idol season five, has been compared to it's earlier seasons and have been termed the best of them all. After four months of hard work and dedication, the much deserving candidate Sreeram Chandra, from Secunderabad was announced the winner.
On the final level he was competing with Bhumi Trivedi from Gujarat and Rakesh Maini from Agra. Sreeram Chandra is a versatile singer and has been the most consistent candidate of the show. Sreeram has also lent his voice to several Telegu movies as a playback singer. He has already recorded a song with Shreya Goshal, in a Salim Merchant's latest movie.
Through out the Indian Idol season Five, Sreeram has bagged praises not only from judges Anu Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant but also from special guests like Asha Mangeshkar, Aamir Khan and many others.
The Finale of Indian Idol Season Five was star struck with appearances made by Kareena Kapoor, Kiron Kher, Shankar Mahadevan and the Superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan played the Kaun Banega Crorepati on the show with the contestants and was the first time on the hot seat.
He confessed to the ardent follower of Indian Idol along with his wife Jaya Bachchan. He read out a composition written by himself for the finale. His presence on the show was like a dream come true for the top three finalists.
It was him who declared the winner after a three hour long Finale celebration. With a click on the remote the screen was flooded with congratulations for Sreeram the declared winner of Indian Idol Season Five. Sreeram was awestruck, while his parents smiled in jubilation.
Sreeram the winner, got Rs 50 lakh cash prize, a car, a motorbike, a one year contract with Sony TV and a chance to lend his voice to one of the forthcoming Yashraj Films.
