The couple are happily married and reports reveal that Portia Lee James has officially become Mrs. DeGeneres after she was granted permission to change her name in court on Thursday.
As per sources Mrs. DeGeneres has stated that marriage is a different way of being together. They got married in 2008 when it was still illegal in California and now that it is legal she has stated that it is real and this kind of formality makes her marriage valid.
