The survey also revealed that 56 percent of the participants admitted to having returned drunk from a lunch time pub session and 59 per cent having suffered from a hangover. 62 percent agreed on having an affair with a colleague and 28 percent accepted falling asleep on the desk.
The study showed 54 per cent having hit the "reply all" on a company-wide email when their response was anything but safe for general consumption and a quarter revealed having accidentally mailing a colleague with a comment intended for a lover.
"A real crossover in the digital realm between personal and professional lives means staff are increasingly relaxed in their use of workplace email and internet", the Telegraph quoted David Stanley, Proofpoint's UK managing director as saying.
"Working longer hours and therefore using these technologies more to stay in touch with friends and family can only heighten the risk," he added. AGENCIES
