Teachers build future of the society
Itanagar, Dec 07 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh minister for Education Chowna Mein today said the responsibility lies with teacher to build or destroy the entire life of children and exhorted them to discharge their duty with sincerity and dedication as teachers are the builders of society and nation.
Addressing a two-day programme on Tribal council convention under SC/ST intervention for facilitating better understanding among different tribal groups and also to acquaint with various activities of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for effective implementation in the grass root level, organized by SSA Rajya Mission, Itanagar, here yesterday, Mr Mein said that due to nepotism and favoritism, quality education cannot be imparted to the children as talented aspirant teachers are not selected while recruiting a teacher.
The Education minister urged the gathering to abstain from tendency of nepotism and favoritism while recruiting teachers and cooperate with the teachers to run the school smoothly.
The Education minister also said that the SSA mission could not attain success until and unless they cooperate with the programme.
He further citing the education system of Nagaland also expressed concern over the lack of imparting quality education system in Arunachal Pradesh in comparison with other states of the country.
