Safety Kitchen Tips For Homemakers

And for many, cooking may look easy and full of fun but hardly people realize that the procedure may even be very dangerous. It is important to know about kitchen safety to protect oneself and family from various accidents. So our advise is to take a look at these basic kitchen safety tips to organize kitchen and to safeguard home from various hazards.
Kitchen Safety Tips -
1. While cooking food, do not leave pans and vessels on the stove. Turn off the burners when done.
2. Get rid of the appliance that is damaged as it may cause some problem to you and your family members.
3. Check if all the wiring, cords of appliances are well insulated.
4. Do not mix cleaning agents with food items. Store them in a separate area.
5. Lock the cabinets which contain knives, forks etc so that the kids will not be able to get them.
6. Always use good quality stools and ladders to access an item placed at heights.
7. Clean vegetable peels and other wastes as soon as you finish cooking. Also clean up oil spills or milk spills immediately to avoid slipping and other accidents.
8. Always use gloves while cutting vegetables and while removing baked food from a stove or microwave.
9. Do not engage in any other activities like attending phone calls, watching TV while cooking.
10. Always store salt and baking powder, as they are natural fire extinguishers.
