Top 5 Mistakes While Organising A Bedroom

Nowadays, bedrooms are multipurpose. They also become study rooms, computer rooms, work rooms, dressing rooms and even laundry rooms. With soo many things happening in the room, mistakes are a certain.
Top 5 Mistakes While Organising A Bedroom
1. Placement Of The Bed – Those who aren't aware of organising bed usually have it in a corner or near the cupboard. The arrangement should ideally be at the centre as it is the main object of interest. Placing it near cupboards will tempt you to throw all the clothes on it and make it look very messy.
2. Placement Of The Dressing Table – The dressing table placement is very important while designing bedrooms. Normally, the table is next to the bed and all the talcum powder, perfumes, hair, cosmetics stain the bedsheets and spoil the bedding. Mirrors, according to vaastu need to be away from bed and not face you when sleeping. So reserve a corner for your dressing table and mirror.
3. Placement Of Switchboards – The switchboards are generally installed at the entrance of the room so putting on and off is a problem when you are relaxing on bed or you would prefer reading a book in the middle of the night. Installing a switchboard near the bed will resolve the problem and avoids interrupting sleep.
4. Mistakes With Respect To Lighting Installation – Installation of too many bright lights are the biggest mistakes we make while planning to decorate our bedrooms. The lights can disturb sleep and even harm eyes so going for indirect lighting will resolve the problem. If your bedroom is also a study then having table lamps at the bed sides or on a study table will resolve the lighting issues.
5. Flooring – Homemakers hardly consider the climate while choosing the floor for their bedroom. Marble and granite flooring is good for hot climatic conditions while wood and vitreous tiles go well with cold. Choosing the right flooring also matters as it may make your feet cold and cause cramps after frequent use. As the mistake is already done, you can rectify it by carpeting, mats or wearing foot warmers.
