Here are some things you must completely avoid, when you are constipated!
If you have been having trouble lately, in the toilet department, when it comes to passing stools, then you must surely be worried, right?
The condition in which a person is unable to pass stools on a daily basis, with ease, is known as constipation and it can turn into serious ailments like piles and other digestive disorders, when left untreated.
Constipation occurs when a person's bowel movements become less frequent due to various reasons like hardening of the stools, digestive ailments, dehydration, poor diet, lack of exercise, etc.
When there is difficulty in a person's bowel movements, he/she may experience difficulties in passing stools with ease, leading to constipation and a bloated feeling.
Constipation is a digestive ailment that can be frustrating, painful and also embarrassing to some extent!
Just like you are not supposed to eat cold foods when you have a flu, there are certain things you must avoid doing while you have constipation; have a look at them below.

1. Processed Food
Consuming processed foods like canned soup, pizzas, fries, etc., can only make your constipation worse, as the unhealthy oils in them can further harden your stools.

2. Coffee
Although many people believe that coffee can help them pass stools with ease, it is on the contrary, as coffee can sometimes dehydrate you and dehydration worsens constipation.

3. Excess Dairy Products
If you consume excess dairy products on a regular basis, it can create a lot of gas and other digestive issues, worsening constipation, as lactose is a gas-inducing substance.

4. Alcohol
Drinking alcohol while you are already constipated can make it extremely bad, as alcohol is very dehydrating! Even just a glass of wine can make matters worse.

5. Supplements
Taking nutrient supplements like iron or calcium, while you are constipated can also increase the condition, as these supplements can slow down your bowl movement.

6. Painkillers
Taking painkillers on a regular basis, especially if you are prone to constipation can also worsen the condition, as they can also harden your stools.

7. Being Inactive
Not exercising when you have constipation will also not be of any help to your condition. Exercise can help keep your intestines well lubricated to reduce constipation.
