Leading an inactive lifestyle, without any exercise or physical activities can also cause depression, as the serotonin levels in your brain can decrease, without regular exercise.

Many women who take birth control pills on a daily basis can also become victims to depression, as these pills cause a lot of hormonal fluctuations in the body.
