Can diabetes lead to a dry skin? Yes it does. When the blood sugar level is not normal in the body, it not just leaves one dehydrated but also leads to extreme dryness of the skin.

2. Side Effects Of Medications:
It isn't just the weather conditions that can cause skin dryness but also there are certain medications that lead to skin dryness. Medicines for high blood pressure is just one among them that causes skin dryness.

3. Hormonal Changes:
Yet another condition that causes dry skin is the changes in hormonal levels in the body. This generally happens when people tend to age.

4. Hypothyroidism:
The oil produced by your skin lessens when you suffer from hypothyroidism. This in turn makes the skin dry and rough.

5. Lack Of Nutrition:
When the body lacks in adequate nutrients, especially vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and selenium, it causes extreme dryness of the skin.

6. Eczema:
When the skin gets too dry or scaly and the normal moisturisers fail to provide any help then it could be a sign that you are suffering from eczema.

7. Psoriasis:
If you see that the skin is getting too dry, along with red and scaly patches, then this is a clear sign that you are suffering from psoriasis.

8. Dehydration:
When the body lacks in water, it fails to provide enough supply of moisture to the skin. This leads to a dry skin.
