There are many diseases of the blood which most of us not aware of. This article deals with diseases related to blood. Read through.
Blood is an important component of our body. However, how many times do we think about taking care of it? It is only when we start suffering from a blood disorder do we wake up and start treating it. There are various kinds of disorders of the blood that we should be aware of. Here are some very common conditions.
Anemia, the insufficient oxygen carrying capacity is among the most typical of blood diseases. This happens when there is a deficiency in the number of red blood cells. This causes fatigue and weakness and in extreme conditions it may also cause heart attacks.

Blood transfusion can cause a number of diseases of the blood. Blood born illnesses are spread by contamination of the blood. Once an individual is infected and his blood is given to another person, the blood causes a blood-born illness.
Blood not only gets infected, it may also transmit infection. The HIV virus that causes AIDS is transmitted by contact with blood, semen or other body secretions of a person who is infected. Hepatitis B, C, D, E, G, H and I are transmitted mainly through blood contact or transfusions.

Blood, blood products and blood-stained objects are treated as a bio hazard. It can cause bacterial infection of the blood called bacteremia or sepsis. Blood toxins, known as hematopoietics, may prevent the blood to transport oxygen to cells.
There is a substantial body of research being conducted on glutathione which can cause blood diseases. Many blood born diseases, genetic blood diseases, blood problems and lymphocyte illnesses have a connection to glutathione levels and the development of the illness.

Blood conditions can also be caused by abnormalities in the number of blood cells, form of blood cells or arrangement of the blood cells called erythrocytes.
Some common blood illnesses are the result of blood cell membrane being overly stiff or abnormalities in the proteins that cover the membrane. Blood diseases can also be caused by too much of red blood cells and occasionally increases in other blood cells.
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura or ITP blood illness affects the blood platelets. Disorders of cell proliferation or cell generation cause leukemia.
