Best Home Remedies For Itchy Nipples
Women discuss anything when they are in a group. However, there are some issues that they hesitate to share with others. Itchy nipple is one among those secret problems that can be experienced by any lady, including you.
There are many reasons for itchy nipples. The most common ones among them are dryness of the nipples and infections. Breastfeeding mothers will also experience this problem, especially associated with cracked nipples.
Itchy nipples can force you to go through embarrassing moments, especially when you are in your office or are at any other public place. You may get many commercially available products that claim to be the best in the market for treating itchy nipples.
But, remember that using these products that contain chemicals over your most delicate parts of the body can produce many serious side effects.
In such cases, trying home remedies is the best and the most effective method to manage your itchy nipples. It may take some time to give a result, but these remedies are effective and safe. Here, we will discuss some tried and proved home remedies for itchy nipples.

Oil Massage
One of the easiest and the most effective home remedies for itchy nipples is to do an oil massage with coconut oil on them. You can use any oil of your choice.
But, coconut oil is preferred more because of its antiseptic property and moisturising ability.

Butter
Butter is a natural moisturising agent that can give you an instant relief from itchy nipples. Apply butter on the nipples and massage gently in a circular motion.
Keep it for sometime and then wash off. This will effectively hydrate the nipples and solve dry skin‑related issues.

Aloe Vera
Nothing will act more efficiently than aloe vera in treating itchy nipples. Take the pulp of an aloe vera and mash it well. Apply it on to the nipples. Keep it on for 10 minutes. Wash it off with cold water after giving a gentle massage.

Olive Oil
Probably olive oil is one among the most widely used home remedies for itchy nipples. Olive oil is also a good option due to its moisturising property. Massage the oil gently on the nipples and then wash it off. You can do this just before taking a bath.

Honey
Honey is a moisturising agent that will treat dryness of the skin effectively. Apply honey topically to your nipple for minor itching. Depending on the intensity of the itchiness, you can change the frequency of the application. But, remember to use it atleast 1-4 times in a day.

Change Your Bath Routine
Avoid bathing in hot showers for a long time. This will make your skin even more drier, thereby increasing itchiness. If you prefer to bath in hot showers, it is better to avoid a continuous flow of hot water over your nipples. Instead, you can just wipe the nipple with a cloth soaked in cold water.

Medication
If you are not able to handle the situation with home remedies, it is better to take the advice of a doctor. There are mediated creams and oils available to treat itchy nipples effectively.
Most of these work by restoring the lost moisture from the nipple and by treating any infections.
