Your heart needs enough amount of blood supply and oxygen to survive. The job of the blood supply is handled by the arteries. When arteries becomes narrow, they start accumulating fat on its wall. In such a case, blood can't flow properly through them.

When plaque in the arteries obstructs the blood flow, a heart attack is likely to occur. When an artery gets blocked, there would be insufficient supply of oxygen in the muscle tissues of the heart.
This might even damage the cells in that area. A heart attack occurs soon after the heart goes dead.

Well, what causes heart attacks? Blood clots and plaque in the arteries are the main reasons behind heart attacks. They obstruct the supply of oxygenated blood to the heart.

Causes
High cholesterol, smoking, triglycerides, cholesterol, obesity, stress, diabetes, alcohol, old age and genetics are some of the factors which might play an important role in causing heart attacks.

Medication
Generally, heart patients are given medicines that eliminate the blood clots. These clot-busting drugs must be given on time in order to save the life of a person.

Studies suggest that when a person laughs, the circulation of blood gets better. When blood is circulated well in your body without obstructions, your heart feels better. So, in some ways, laughing can help the person up to an extent.

Why Do Heart Attacks Happen In The Morning?
Well, this is because the stress levels tend to be high during morning hours. Also, on a Monday morning, the stress levels tend to be even higher. In such a state, the flow of blood to the heart may get obstructed. High BP and stress are dangerous killers.
