In pursuit of wealth and career, you tend to accumulate lots of stress that weighs you down and at times reach a point of breakdown. It is important to maintain a balance between work and personal time for a healthy stress-free life. You have to follow a healthy lifestyle to start with and maintain good health to help think positively.
Some of the reasons for stress among men are greed, desires, over the top ambitions, unhealthy lifestyles etc. It is important to maintain a balance in life and know what you need against what you want. Once you start earning and a competition to achieve more than your peers or friends grow, the line between need and want blurs out setting you on an endless path of greed and ambition.
It is important you set yourself realistic goals in life, keeping in mind your abilities and resources at hand, with a comfortable time frame to achieve them. This way you enjoy the journey to success rather than aimlessly pursue the success resulting in lots of stress. One has to accept each person is different and comparing or trying to emulate others is not in ones best interest.
There are certain rules one must follow in life to beat stress. Lets have a look on these rules:

Clear
In this age of information, you are bombarded with news, information out there. It is important you spend some time in silence and think nothing in order to clear all the junk in your mind to get better perspective.

Breathe
As busy as you get, many of us tend to forget the fundamental art and importance of proper breathing. Learn different breathing patterns and techniques to help relax your mind and body.

Joyful Activity
Spend your personal time in pursuing your passion. Do something that brings you happiness like cycling, hiking, running, cooking etc. The exhilaration and happiness in doing something you love uplifts your mood, relaxing your body and mind.

Shut The World
Once in a while shut yourself from the world and things happening around you. Disconnect yourself emotionally from the physical world and events to evade stress.

Relax
No matter how hectic your schedule is, take some time to relax every day. Dedicate a few minutes of your day to relax and release all your stress by taking a slow walk or a power nap etc.

Get A Massage
Every once in a while take some time out to pamper yourself with some form of a body massage like Shiatsu or Swedish massage to relieve the stress built up in your body over time.

Cry

Prioritise
There are always a lot of ambitions and goals in life. Hence, it is important you set priorities and limit the set of goals at any given time. This way you won't be overwhelmed.

Diet
What you eat influences your thoughts and state of mind. Diet containing asparagus, avocados, berries etc or having a cup of chamomile tea helps in relieving stress and make you feel elated and relaxed.

Exercise
Physical fitness is vital in keeping stress at bay. You have to be healthy to fight stress. Take up a routine like running, walking etc to keep up your fitness level and help think positively.

Yoga
Yoga is a very powerful medium to control your body and mind. Asanas like Baddha Konasana, Janu Sirsasana etc help in relieving tensions and stress from your body.

Avoid Caffeine
Consumption of caffeine increases adrenaline in your body. It helps in keeping you active at the same time builds stress. Avoid or limit the consumption of caffeine to large extent.
