Nature The Best Pill To Live Long

"Nature is fuel for the soul, " says Richard Ryan, lead author and a professor of psychology at the University of Rochester. "Often when we feel depleted we reach for a cup of coffee, but research suggests a better way to get energized is to connect with nature," he says.
An interesting study was carried out on 537 college students. It involved both real and imaginary contexts. The participants were made to walk through a hall and a river side. Also they were made to imagine themselves in different situations. In another test they had to view photographs of buildings, scenaries, birds etc.
The participants were made to write down their activities like their exercises, the time they spent out doors, social interactions etc. In all tests it was shown that the participants felt energetic when they spent time with nature.
Our grandparents insist that we should encourage kids more into outdoor games than indoors but our parents who are afraid of the kid's security doesn't give much thought to it and end up buying all indoor games for their kids.
According to Ryan, nature can boost your spirits. In a day even if you spent 20 minutes outside the building in the abode of nature it's very beneficial for your mental and physical health. Being out and enjoying the beauty of nature will fetch you a longer life line.
