When you have a stuffy nose, you may end up having to breathe through your mouth, as your nasal cavities as blocked. Breathing through your mouth can also lead to sore throat and dryness in the mouth.
A blocked nose can also cause bad headaches, cough and fever, so it is better to treat it in the early stages.
Here is a simple home remedy that can help clear a blocked nose.

Ingredients Required :
• Turmeric - 2 teaspoons
• Basil Leaves - 5-6
This natural remedy to get rid of a stuffy nose can work well and provide relief in just about 3 days, when used in the right way.
Turmeric contains curcumin, which has anti-bacterial properties that can kill the infection causing bacteria in your nasal cavities, thus reducing inflammation and blockage.
Basil, or tulsi leaves contain certain enzymes, which act as natural antiseptic agents that can reduce the inflammation and mucous production, thus reducing stuffiness in the nose.

Method Of Preparation :
- Add the suggested amounts of ingredients to a pan of boiling water.
- Stir well and let the ingredients boil for about 10 minutes.
- Now, collect the hot mixture and strain it, so that the leaves are separated.
- Now, collect the clear mixture in a cup.
- Consume this mixture in the morning, after breakfast.
- Consume for 3 days.
- You can continue to consumption for a week, if you do not find relief.
