Therefore, to stay healthy and also lose weight, here are some of the salty foods to avoid.

Breads
You may seem that bread is a healthy option for you to choose from when compared to rice. However, bread contains 230 mg of salt in two slices. Stick to a moderate consumption of bread to keep your salt intake optimum.

Sandwiches
Sandwiches is one of the many salty foods to avoid to lose weight. The salt is present in the fillings of the sandwich which is either the sauce or the chutney.

Soups
One bowl of soup contains 980 mg of sodium. If you love soup, make sure that you consume only a small portion of it or do not add salt to it. Substitute your other meals with something that has no salt content, to balance it.

Chips
Not just children, but even adults love salted chips and wafers. However, chips does more damage than good. Because of its high salt content, chips tend to be quite addictive and we end up eating too much of it. This is not going to help in your weight loss plans, so it's best to avoid chips altogether.

Chicken
Did you know that chicken has a higher amount of salt when compared to other meats. Each serving of chicken has around 600 mg of sodium in it. This is one of the salt foods to avoid to lose weight fast. Switch to being a vegetarian, it will help a lot.

Pizza
Not only this being a junk food which everyone loves to indulge in, it is also a high sodium food which you must avoid at any cost.

Cheese
There are many who consider cheese to be a healthy item. No doubt it is, but an excessive amount of cheese consumption will lead to tummy bloat. Therefore, it is one such salt food to avoid to lose weight.

Pickles
Pickles is one item which is present on every South Indian's plate. Too much of pickles is not good for health as it contains a lot of salt which will increase ones blood pressure.

Soya sauce is one of the main ingredients which is present in all sorts of cuisine. This sauce contains a lot of sodium in it and therefore is not good if you want to lose weight.

Beverages
Beverages have artificial ingredients present in it, therefore, it is one of the salt foods to avoid to lose weight.
