Even though people who do a lot of physical activities require high quantity of protein in their daily diet, it is not essential to meet the need with only red meats. There are other options such as fish, soya, sprouts etc. Among red meats, beef is amongst the most nutritious but also high in cholesterol content. Alzheimer’s Disease
Red meat such as beef is full of iron, and a high red meat diet can lead to iron build up. Scientists believe that when proteins called Tau and beta-amyloidal accumulate in the brain, they either disrupt nerve cells or kill them, which may be a cause of Alzheimer's disease.

Cardiovascular Disease
There's another reason why too much of beef is not good for your health. Over a long period of time scientists have successfully shown a connection between eating large amounts of red meat and an individual's risk for heart disease. Lately, a recent study suggests this link between red meat such as beef and disease does not derive from the saturated fats and cholesterol, but the fact that your gut microbes break down a compound found in the meat known as Carnitine, which in turn produces trim-ethylamine-N-oxide, which has been associated with atherosclerosis.

Higher Risk Of Colon Cancer
Many studies have provided evidence that red meat such as beef has the potential to cause colon cancer, and a U.S. study which involved 148,610 participants between the ages of 50 and 74 showed that a high consumption of red and processed meats substantially increased the risk of colo-rectal cancer.

Type 2 Diabetes
According to a recent research, red meat consumption such as beef and pork is associated with an increased risk of Type 2 diabetes. This is another reason why too much of that fried beef is not good for you. Studies show three extra servings of red meat every week increases the risk of developing diabetes by 50 percent. This is not good news to people who are addicted to or have grown to consuming red meats on a regular basis.

Processing
The way the meat industry is known to grow and process beef or pork to make profits are scary. The animals are subjected to hormonal injections that make them grow faster and meatier. They are then processed, mixing good as well as some bad meats. So stay away from processed beef as it can be bad for health.

Obesity
Even though red meat such as beef is not the only cause of obesity among beef consumers, it is shown to add a lot of layers to your belly. Due to high consumption of beef and low physical activities, even children are now facing obesity issues.
