A tea is as healthy as its ingredients. We have tried ginger tea, lemon tea, cinnamon tea and so on. But have you tried any tea that helps in controlling blood pressure?
Well, here is one that is prepared with celery and dates. Read on to know how it can be prepared and when it can be consumed.

Ingredients
You will need 100 grams of celery, 50 grams of dates and a litre of water. Use only organic ingredients.

How To Prepare
Wash both celery and dates in separate containers. Start cutting the celery into pieces. You can slice the dates.

Step 2
Place both dates and celery pieces in a pot and add the water to it. Heat it on medium flame for half an hour.

Step 3
After heating, strain the liquid and drink it in the morning. You can consume it thrice a day. This tea is said to control blood pressure.

How The Ingredients Help
Celery contains certain compounds that relax constricted arteries. And dates have potassium which can minimise blood pressure.

Other Steps
Apart from consuming this tea, eat more of vegetables and fruits, decrease your salt consumption, start a workout, stay away from smoking, drinking and processed foods and reduce stress levels in your life to combat high blood pressure.
