Ayurvedic Remedies For Knee Pain
According to a survey, over 30 percent women and 25 percent men have complained of an excruciating knee pain at some point in past 12 months.
These painful knee pain can be caused due to a number of reasons - RA, gout, Osteoarthritis, sprain or bruising of ligaments surrounding the joints. Joint pain can be also caused due to degenerative illness such as diabetes.
The knee pain could also be accompanied by swelling and redness.

Turmeric
Turmeric is an excellent Ayurvedic herb for a variety of ailments. It is also a very good remedy for knee pain. It contains a compound called as Curcumin which contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
It was adjudged in one of the surveys that curcumin is as beneficial as painkillers like brufen to cure knee pain.
Taking a tbsp of turmeric mixed in a glass of milk every day will help cure the problem of knee pain.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Due to its alkalizing properties, it helps in curing the problem related to knee pain. It is very beneficial for those suffering from degenerative illness such as arthritis.
It is packed with minerals like calcium, magnesium and potassium which helps in keeping joint pain at bay. It also helps in reducing the toxin build up in joints and tissues thereby eliminating the pain.
Combine one part apple cider vinegar with one part olive oil. Apply this mixture on the affected area and massage. This will help in curing the pain.

Cayenne pepper
Cayenne pepper also known as Lal Mirch in India is an effective remedy too for joint pain contrary to what most people think. It contains a compound called as capsaicin which is packed with pain relieving properties.
In various studies, it is found out that capsaicin present in red chilly powder is very effective in curing the pain experienced in joints especially knee.
You can consume it by way of including in your diet or applying it on the affected. But remember to consume in moderate quantities as it may cause burning sensation. Do not apply on open wounds or itchy skin.

Amala
Amala or Indian gooseberry has excellent rejuvenating properties and it is prescribed by Ayurveda for a variety of ailments.
Its detoxifying properties flush out the harmful free radicals from the body. It also helps in restoring bone and teeth health. It helps in increasing endurance and strength and is a good remedy for those suffering from knee pain.
Drinking a glass of fresh amla juice every day will keep you in good health. Alternatively, you could also consume amla capsules if fresh amla juice is not available.
